  Notes"Gabriel García Márquez has sold the film rights to his 1985 novel Love in the Time of Cholera to Scott Steindorff's Stone Village Pictures, the company that recently produced the film of Philip Roth's The Human Stain. García Márquez is expected to make almost 1.7 million pounds from the deal. The Nobel prize winner took a long time to agree to having his book filmed. "I think we called him every day for 18 months," says Steindorff."
